The Johnson Zoo is hitting the road! After a two year homeschool study on the 50 Nifty States, the Zoo is taking eight weeks to see the country firsthand.  As part of his homeschooling, Drew will be keeping a blog of our adventures.  Check out his web page to read about the trip through the eyes of an eight year old.  As the trip accountant, he will be tracking all expendatures and updating the photo gallery.  Read Heath's blog to experience the trip through the eyes of an adventurous mom traveling cross country with five kids and her faithful pooch.

Last Hurrah... We are headed out to Lake Havasu for one last ski trip celebrating the birthdays of Papa Dave and Uncle Dave before heading home.

Grand Canyon... Papa Chuck is joining back up with us as we venture off to revisit the Grand Canyon

Tuesday
Exploring the Rockies... The boys are looking forward to standing in four states at once before heading off to Mesa Verde to learn about the cliff dwelling of the Anastazi.

Wednesday
All Aboard... Our little engineers are going to catch a train from Durango, CO to the silver mines of Silverton.

Thursday
Albuquerque... Breaking up a long trek with a stop at the Petroglyphs, ancient rock paintings

Friday
Going Batty in Carlsbad... We can't go through the Southwest without investigating the caverns!
